The Historic Umhlanga Rocks lighthouse has no keeper; rather it is controlled by The Oyster Box and has been since the present day lighthouse was built in 1954.
Grand old dame
This hotel has been a South African icon since the 1940’s. The hotel started out as a beach cottage in 1869, but grew into a luxury spa hotel. It has been totally re-vamped, regaining its former glory, keeping many period features.
