Woodall Country House is situated in the Sundays River Valley, only a few minutes drive from the Addo Elephant Park. This malaria free region has a temperate to warm climate with an annual rainfall of 450 mm occurring evenly throughout the year. Summers are hot with many sunny days, while winter is a chilly period.
How to get there:
From Port Elizabeth by car: When travelling from Port Elizabeth you take the N2 in direction of Grahamstown for about 15 kilometres (9.3 miles). Turn left off the N2 onto the R335 (signposted as Motherwell, Markman, St Georges Strand - there is also a sign for Addo Elephant Park).
Travel for about 45 kilometres (28 miles) to Addo village. Continue through village on R335 in direction of Park for about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles), (you will pass a Crocodile ranch on the Left Hand side). Turn left off R335 at Woodall Sign onto a gravel road. Turn immediately right again in front of Elephant House Guest House. Continue on road for about 1.3 kilometres (0.8 miles) to Woodall.
