Follow the N3 highway to Mooi River and take the Mooi River off ramp from the N3. Follow the Giant's Castle/Hartford House/Summerhill Stud signs through the village to the west in the direction of the Drakensberg. Travel approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from the outskirts of the village and turn left into Hlatikulu Road.
Travel 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) passing both entrances to Summerhill Stud before you turn right to Hartford House. Follow the hotel signs for 1.2 kilometres (0.74 miles) to Hartford House in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
