Ulusaba Rock Lodge is located on top of a rock in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, South Africa, offering the most breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Ulusaba is set in the western part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, South Africa, close to the world famous Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga.
How to get there:
By Air:
Ulusaba is a one and a half hour flight from Johannesburg. Ulusaba boasts its own private airstrip with daily scheduled and charter flights available.
By Road:
From Johannesburg, take the N4/N12 to Nelspruit. Follow the R40 from Nelspruit through White River to Hazyview. As you approach Hazyview you will see a T-junction where you turn left. This road will take you into Hazyview Town. Continue straight through the first set of traffic lights. At the intersection with the second set of traffic lights, there will be a signpost reading 'Paul Kruger Gate'. Turn right at this signpost. This is the R536.
After 32 kilometres (19.9 miles), you will see a signpost on your left. Follow the gravel road and signposts for Ulusaba to Newington Gate. This is where you enter Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A nominal fee of R60.00 is payable at the entrance, after which you continue through the gate. Once through, follow the signposts to Ulusaba. Travel for approximately 17 kilometres (10.6 miles) after entering the gate. This drive is approximately 5-6 hours.
