This Island only emerges at low tide, creating a beautiful sandy beach which is a great spot for finding beautiful pansy shells. Alternatively set off in a traditional African Dhow to explore the interesting coastline of the island. This is a stunning sundowners trip during which you can enjoy lovely snacks and drinks.
Scuba Diving and Snorkelling
Explore the fascinating marine life off the coast while on scuba diving and snorkelling expeditions. There is a 5 star PADI dive centre offering courses from beginners to advanced diving. There is a dedicated dive training pool and many interesting local reefs where you can see Turtles, Dolphins, Sharks, Moray eels, Eagle rays and a wonderful array of reef fish and corals.
Land-based Activities
Should you wish to keep your feet on dry land there are many activities you can enjoy from taking a tour of the island and climbing the sand dunes to experiencing local culture. You can visit the Islands lakes and maybe even see a Crocodile or two before enjoying a leisurely picnic. The Island has many birds and birdwatchers can try and add to the list. At night the clear skies facilitate star gazing sessions so you can learn about the Milky Way and the Southern Cross.
