Zanzibar has an International Airport with direct connections on a scheduled basis. From Europe, Kenya Airways is the main carrier to Zanzibar, Tanzania. A number of airlines such as British and Swiss Air fly to Dar-es Salaam where you can catch a connecting flight or the ferry to Zanzibar, Tanzania.
There are weekly flights to Zanzibar from South Africa. These flights leave from OR Tambo International Airport.
