Ulusaba is set in the western part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, South Africa, close to the world famous Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga.
By Air
Ulusaba is a one and a half hour flight from Johannesburg, or a 30 minute flight from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Ulusaba boasts its own private airstrip with daily scheduled and charter flights available.
By Road
This drive takes is approximately 5-6 hours long.
From Johannesburg, take the N4 / N12 to Nelspruit.
Follow the R40 from Nelspruit through White River to Hazyview. As you approach Hazyview you will see a T-junction where you turn left. This road will take you into Hazyview Town. Continue straight through the first set of traffic lights. At the intersection with the second set of traffic lights, there will be a signpost reading 'Paul Kruger Gate'. Turn right at this signpost. This is the R536.
After 32km (19.9 miles), you will see a signpost on your left. Follow the gravel road and signposts for Ulusaba and Newington Gate. This is where you enter Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A cash only entrance fee is payable, after which you continue through the gate. Once through, follow the signposts to Ulusaba. Travel for approximately 17km (10.6 miles) after entering the gate.
