How to get to Singita Sweni Lodge & Spa, Greater Kruger

Located within a 33,000 acre, private concession in the Kruger National Park, Singita Sweni Lodge is nestled amongst hundreds of trees at the edge of the Sweni River.

This luxury safari spa in Kruger National Park, South Africa is located in the south eastern region of the Kruger National Park. This is one of the most pristine wildlife territories in Southern Africa.

Guests can access Singita Sweni Safari Lodge either by road or air. The drive from Johannesburg will take about 8 hours while the flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Satara airstrip will take about 1 hour 30 minutes plus a 45 minutes drive in an air-conditioned vehicle.

By Road From Johannesburg

  • Take the N12/N4 to Nelspruit
  • Take the R40 from Nelspruit to Hazyview
  • Then take the R536 from Hazyview towards Paul Kruger gate
  • There is a cash entrance fee payable per person and per vehicle.
  • Follow the H11 towards Skukuza for 12km (7miles) and then head north on the H1-2 towards Satara, until you reach the H6 about 84 km (52miles).
  • This turn-off is 3 km (1.8 miles ) south of Satara. Turn right here and then follow the road to the N’wanetsi Picnic site, about 19km (11.7 miles
  • Turn left at the T-junction where you see the Singita signpost
  • Alternatively, you can take the gravel road S37 (Trichard Road) 13 km(8miles) north of Tshokwane towards N’wanetsi. This saves about 40 minutes driving. Please make sure that you have reached the lodge before the gate closure time. Approximate travelling time from the Paul Kruger gate will be 3 hours (speed limit 50km / hour on tarred roads, 40km / hour on gravel roads)
