Tintswalo Safari Lodge offers comfortable and elegant Mpumalanga spa accommodation in 7 well-appointed suites. These beautiful suites boast a unique and authentic atmosphere as they are filled with antiques from the pioneer times of the nineteenth century. All the suites are air-conditioned and have an outdoor shower as well as a private plunge pool.

Baker Suite – this romantic suite has a beautiful hand carved four-poster bed and is named after Samuel and Florence Baker who travelled together through the African wilds, an unusual occurrence for their era.

Kingsley Suite – Mary Kingsley, a nineteenth century spinster, explored the region with her limited means collecting fish and insect samples for the Royal Geographic Society. This is an understated suite which can be converted into a twin or double suite.

Livingstone Suite – this suite is named after David Livingstone, the most widely known explorer of Africa’s colonial history. It has twin beds that form a double bed.

Burton Suite – this suite is named after Richard Burton, a controversial character who once donned a turban, and historically translated the Arabian Nights into English. This is a richly decorated twin or double suite.

Speke Suite – named after John Hanning Speke, a true gentleman, who also set off in search of the elusive source of the Nile. This is a spacious luxury suite with large four-poster bed.

Stanley Suite – Henry Morton Stanley was the man who found Livingstone saying “Dr Livingstone I presume?” This beautiful suite is named in honour of him. It is a well-appointed double suite with a large sleigh bed.

Baines Presidential Suite – Thomas Baines, an engineer and artist. This suite is part of the Presidential Suite and accommodates 4 guests. This suite is also decorated in the colonial style. This unit is ideal for family groups or guests who want to enjoy an exclusive safari.

There are 2 air-conditioned suites, a spacious lounge and dining area and also a well appointed kitchen. Each suite has indoor and outdoor showers, which open out onto a deck with a private plunge pool. Guests staying in the presidential suite get a private safari vehicle, guide and tracker, personal chef and butler. The suite has DSTV and a play station.
