Guests can easily access Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve in the Western Cape. The drive from Cape Town will take about three and a half hours, depending on traffic.
Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve, Western Cape is ideally located in a malaria and predator free wilderness between the Cederberg Mountains and the plains of the Great Karoo. Air transfers are available from Cape Town to Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve, Western Cape in either a fixed wing aircraft or a helicopter (60 minutes flying time). There is a private airstrip 20 minutes by car from the lodge.
Road transfers can be arranged to Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve, these can also be Guided or Chauffer driven. The journey takes about three and a half hours.
Guests should note that the gates lock at 5pm daily and that there is no mobile reception between Bushmans Kloof and Clanwilliam

From Cape Town, take the N1
Take the N7 off-ramp towards Malmesbury before you reach Century City / Ratanga Junction.
Continue driving past Malmesbury towards Morreesburg, Piketberg and Citrusdal.
Continue straight on the R364 towards Wupperthal and Calvinia. Cross a bridge to reach a gravel road about 5km (3.10 miles) further. Continue driving along the gravel road for about 34km (21.12 miles) and pass Louis Leipoldt's grave. Continue over the tarred Pakhuis Pass and cross a low bridge over the Brandewyns River. Drive past a sign on the left hand side indicating Traveller's Rest and continue for about 1km (0.62 miles)
Turn right at the Bushmans Kloof gate and continue onto a concrete road crossing a small bridge below the dam wall. Drive towards Bushmans Kloof Lodge. On arrival, please park next to the big Blue Gum trees at the building marked 'Reception'
