Classic Rooms
The Mount Nelson Hotel has 14 Classic Rooms which are intimate rooms overlooking the hotel courtyard. The rooms have a choice of twin or king sized beds, and a mini lounge area. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms which vary in size depending on the location of the room. Bathroom amenities include a range of exclusive toiletries.
Superior and Deluxe Rooms
The 87 Superior Rooms are spacious and elegant and are perfect for both leisure and business travellers. Guests can comfortably be entertained in a mini-lounge area complete with a writing desk and stationery. All rooms have well-appointed en-suite bathrooms and are comfortably furnished with a choice of twin or king sized beds.
The 23 Deluxe Rooms have an understated old-world charm, with all the modern trappings and facilities. These rooms are larger, with spacious sitting areas and en-suite bathrooms. The Deluxe Rooms also offer a choice of twin or king-size beds. They have views of the magnificent gardens, Table Mountain or the courtyard. Interconnecting rooms are available on request. Junior and Classic Suites
The 30 Junior Suites have elegant bedrooms with spacious lounge areas. Some of the Junior Suites offer a separate lounge whilst others offer an open plan lounging area. The option of either twin or king-size beds is offered with the choice of views ranging from landscaped gardens, Table Mountain, or overlooking one of the swimming pools.
The 22 Classic Suites vary in size and most of the suites have views of Table Mountain, the hotel gardens or a landscaped courtyard. The Classic Suites comprise of a spacious bedroom with luxurious en-suite facilities as well as a small separate lounge. The rooms have a choice of either twin or king sized beds.
Deluxe and Superior Suites
The 19 Deluxe Suites are larger, with a separate living and dining area. The Suites, offer twin or king-size beds and have a balcony overlooking the private courtyard, the beautiful gardens or one of the swimming pools. All the suites offer luxurious marble bathrooms with walk-in dressing rooms. A kitchenette / wet bar is provided with small microwave, washbasin and general kitchen utensils in selected suites.
There are 17 Superior Suites which are grander and more distinctive than the Classic Suites, offering spacious open-plan lounges and dining areas. These also have either twin or king-sized beds. All have private balconies and selected suites also have a kitchenette with a microwave. These suites have luxurious marble bathrooms and walk in dressing rooms.
Garden Cottage Suites
There are 8 Garden Cottages situated along the Sydenham Terrace walkway just a short way from the main hotel. Each cottage is situated in a beautiful scented rose garden an enclosed by a quaint picket fence ensuring privacy, peace and quiet.
Each cottage is individually decorated with comfortable oversize couches, four poster beds and glamorous marble bathrooms. Presidential Suite
The luxurious Penthouse at The Mount Nelson Hotel encompasses a stylish marbled entrance hall, a large lounge leading onto a private balcony with beautiful views of Table Mountain, guest toilet and cloakroom, a private dining-room and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The room also has a wet bar facility, complete with a microwave, stove, washbasin and general kitchen utensils.
The 1930’s light fittings have exquisite baccarat crystal drops and the desk is the original Louis-style desk from the hotel’s lounge when it first opened in 1899. Mercury glass bedside lamps and a Venetian mirror complete the romantic and decadently lavish interior.
