From Johannesburg
- Travel from Johannesburg past Lanseria Airport towards Hartebeespoort Dam.
- The suggested routes is either William Nicol or Hans Strydom roads
- Travel for 17.2km (10.7 miles) until you reach the T-junction of Broederstroom and turn left
- After 29.7km (18.5 miles) follow the signs to Sun City Resort and turn right taking the bridge over the dam
- After 31.6km (19.6 miles) turn right at the stop street
- Travel for 35.5km (22.1 miles) and turn left at the four way stop - this takes you past Chameleon Village
- Travel for 40.7km (25.3 miles) and follow the signs to Brits N4 Rustenburg taking you to the N4
- Once on the toll road, take the first off ramp for Pilanesberg / Sun City Resort Turn right over the highway continuing to Sun City Resort.
- You will go through at least four 4 way stops.
- After 105km (65.2 miles) follow the brown 'Ivory Lodge' sign at the 4 way stop with the Golden Era sign off to the right, turn right to Northam on the R510
- Continue along this road until you pass an industrial area on your left.
- Soon after you should turn left and follow the brown 'Ivory Lodge' sign to Mogwase and Pilanesberg
- After 131.4km (81.6 miles), you will reach a second stop street with a Caltex garage on the corner.
- Turn right to Pilanesberg, Manyane and Bakgatla Gates and follow the brown; Ivory Lodge sign.
- Turn left to Bakgatla Gate and George Stegman Hospital.
- Continue along this road which will take you to the Lodge driveway.
