The estate that Unembeza is located on is called the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate where the ‘neighbours’ consist of hornbills, squirrels, kudus, warthogs, giraffes, and even a few humans in the mix, too. During your stay, you can embark on a guided walk or bike tour from the lodge or even just take your own leisurely drive down to the dam which is perfect for late afternoon sundowners.
There are no natural predators on the property so if you’re a keen jogger, be sure to pack your running shoes for an early morning trot. You’ll be in for a real treat with all the wildlife sightings you’ll come across. Just watch your step for rhino and dung beetles crossing the roads.
Kruger Park Game Viewing
During your stay at Unembeza Boutique Lodge & Spa we can also arrange for a few full day guided game drives into the Kruger National Park. The Orpen Gate is only a 45-minute drive away, with reserves like the Kampana, just on your doorstep. If you’ve got your own wheels you can also enter the park on your own steam and spend the day driving through at your own pace looking out for elephants, prides of lions, giraffes, leopards and cheetahs, the list of animals that you can see within this incredible wildlife wonderland is truly endless!
