Unembeza Boutique Lodge & Spa is located in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in the town of Hoedspruit in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.
You won’t have to brave the dirt roads to get to Unembeza Boutique Lodge & Spa. Unlike other lodges within the Kruger and its surrounding concessions, this lodge is situated on a private wildlife estate in the town of Hoedspruit.
If you’re not sure what a wildlife estate is, think of it very much like a gated community but with a lot more space, and way more natural flora and fauna supporting all sorts of wildlife. While staying here, you’ll still feel exceptionally close to nature, but without being too far removed from ‘civilisation’.
The total travel time to get here via road from Johannesburg takes approximately five and a half hours if you’re doing it in a straight shot, but we highly recommend taking your time or breaking up the journey so that you can explore the padstals (roadside shops) and dorpies (towns) along the way. However, if you’re short on time and looking for a more direct method, air travel is your best option, and there are daily flights into Hoedspruit Airport from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
